Cricket Carnival:

The response as usual was tremendous largely from the young members for this game. More than 80 players volunteered for the play and it was indeed tough time to accommodate all.

The game was played in two rounds over two week ends. First round was played on Sunday, 31^st December 2006 and the final round was played on 7^th January 2007 at the ground of L. D. Engineering College near Gujarat University.

Almost all the matches were quite interesting and players displayed commendable performance. The final match was won by the team led by Viral Jashubahi Shah.

Side by side a match was played between two teams for the senior members where in team led by Uday I Shah won the match.

Chetan Jashvantbhai Shah and Uday I Shah played the role of umpire in the final where as active members like Pradip Anantbhai Shah, Viral Lalbahi Shah and Viral Jashubhai Shah gave excellent support to make the event lively and enjoyable by all.

As usual, the Shivlal Dahyalal  Shah (Langhnaj) parivar sponsored the prizes for the winners for which the manadal expresses sincere thanks and deep gratitude.

Outstanding performers included Saumaya Vijaybhai, Viral Jayeshbahi. Sujal Rajeshbhai, Tejas Jayeshbhai, Mitul Devendrabhai, Hiren Mahendrabhai, Tushar A, Shalin Chetanbhai and Uday Indravadan.

While President Shri Bhupendra Shah remained present in the first part of the final round, Secretary Shri C. T. Shah remained present till the concluding session of the prize distribution.
